A riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

Piecing together Vivian Maier’s life can easily evoke Churchill’s famous quote about the vast land of Tsars and commissars that lay to the east. A person who fit the stereotypical European sensibilities of an independent liberated woman, accent and all, yet born in New York City. Someone who was intensely guarded and private, Vivian could be counted on to feistily preach her own very liberal worldview to anyone who cared to listen, or didn’t. Decidedly unmaterialistic, Vivian would come to amass a group of storage lockers stuffed to the brim with found items, art books, newspaper clippings, home films, as well as political tchotchkes and knick-knacks.

The story of this nanny who has now wowed the world with her photography, and who incidentally recorded some of the most interesting marvels and peculiarities of Urban America in the second half of the twentieth century is seemingly beyond belief.

An American of French and Austro-Hungarian extraction, Vivian bounced between Europe and the United States before coming back to New York City in 1951. Having picked up photography just two years earlier, she would comb the streets of the Big Apple refining her artistic craft. By 1956 Vivian left the East Coast for Chicago, where she’d spend most of the rest of her life working as a caregiver. In her leisure Vivian would shoot photos that she zealously hid from the eyes of others. Taking snapshots into the late 1990′s, Maier would leave behind a body of work comprising over 100,000 negatives. Additionally Vivian’s passion for documenting extended to a series of homemade documentary films and audio recordings. Interesting bits of Americana, the demolition of historic landmarks for new development, the unseen lives of ethnics and the destitute, as well as some of Chicago’s most cherished sites were all meticulously catalogued by Vivian Maier.

Her photographs are so amazing.I mean I just love the way she just captures the moment of it. Oh wow! I have not written since last October. I cannot believe it's 2012 already,we are already halfway through January already,time sure does jet speed by(in my term,instead of "flies"). I have been sooooo busy with school & my new nanny job which I love & finishing 8 classes for this semester,5 more months & it's FREEDOM!!! not really,cause it's time to work.ha, Oh life!!!I'm still on a job hunt,cross my fingers & pray that I find a good one.

Guess what? I now got my own camera,woo-hoo,I mean my own personal one,Our family has always had one camera & everyone used it,from my mom to my little 6 year old sister(this girl half the pictures she takes is of her & random toys,seriously!) Ok I know this is so off topic,BUT if you looked in my mum's video gallery on her phone,you'll see that almost all of them are of her talking about random things,talking to her dolls or singing,she even recorded one video of her saying "you know my mum can be mean sometimes" ha,caught!
Anyways back to the camera topic:) I have always been interested in photography,landscape scenery & unposed photographs in natural light. Every time I go for a walk,I take my camera with me.You never know what you may encounter & see at that moment when you walk.A beautiful sunset,the way the sun sets as a back light to a big gigantic oak tree,a lonesome leaf on a huge branch in the winter.I love every moment of capturing it.So cheers to my new photography adventure.

I always admire people who play the piano so beautifully & gracefully, watching their hands go so smoothly over the keys & especially when it's a really pretty piece,but even just the sound of piano is always pretty to hear and relaxing.Well I just started my piano lessons again,I'm soo excited!!! I just can't wait for this girl to start playing already.I had taken lessons a while back,but took a little break,because of school work, well now that's it's "almost" over I can invest my time in trying to play again.Piano has ALWAYS been my favorite instrument to play,I had always dreamed of playing it as a little girl(and the violin). So I'm excited of what's ahead of me,I'm currently learning how to play "Home" by:Michael Buble (btw. he is one of my top fave's..loooovvee) I can't wait to finish this piece.It's not easy,I'll say that it takes lots of practice & discipline AND learning my notes,which is something I have to tackle(reading the notes off the book not writing each letter on each note) I would love to have an associates degree in piano or music in general,that would be fun!! So here goes my life journey & learning how to play this awesome instrument.

Ohh by the way this would be a gorgeous piano to have,Oh I love it & the colour is super cute!!!! I probably won't stop playing it.Loovvee it. :)

Finding the right life partner is a matter of working to become the right life partner, trusting God to cover the "who" and "when" issues. Developing basic life skills (e.g., cooking, child care, home-repair tasks, vocational training) can further prepare one for building his or her own household some day. Since we tend to associate with those who share our values and goals, by concentrating on becoming a faithful, diligent, industrious, and skilled man or woman of God, are we not more apt to attract the same?

~One word: AWESOME.. one of my good friends had lend me this book to read.I had thought it was just a book for leisure but turned to be "learnin" book for me=) it taught me about things i knew in my age i HAVE to learn.It talked about not thinking too much about dating,dreaming about when am i going to have a boyfriend thing, but use this time to focus on getting closer to God and doing things that please him. God in HIS timewill bring the right person into my life, I just have to be PATIENT & TRUST GOD EVERY STEP OF THE WAY that's what I'm doing,I may not be perfect in my walk with him,but i know i can still trust him,cause he's knows my future. Whoever my "prince charming" will be;) I pray it's who God intends to be. I heard quote that said "It's not finding the right person.It's BEING the right person''. I'll have to end with this I'm trusting God not only in relationships but every other area of my life & read this book if you haven't .

Well I can not believe it's almost halfway through the year,time just totally went "jet speed" . I have been wanting to blog forever(i have been blogispired) So I have quite alot to write,i mean "type".BUT there seems to be a minor issue(major to me) our camera cord is missing for almost a week now,and the thing i want to blog about has to go with the pictures I have to download,total bummer=/ K get this,we had it last Sunday,we were taking pictures after church, my sister had it but she said she had given the case(which has the cord) to my mom,but mom said she never had it.So it got lost midair i guess,I'm hoping we(I) find it.So i can blog about some good stuff=D Have a wonderful day,and hopefully i can find this cord.

Ok I know this may sound odd,but I'm fascinated with hats & fascinators I hope,oh and dream one day go to a wedding or go someplace where you have to wear them,you know how they do in England(actually i always would liked to have moved there)i know weird,but it is so cute.I just love the way it looks and i don't know what else to say,but it's super cute.I totally would want to wear them for fun and have a english accent to go with it.haha;-)

And what else fasinates me oh and if i would redo my whole closet buy all new clothes(i wish.lol)I would have vinatgey,girly clothes.I'm totally in love with vintage fashion,it's just super cute i love the style of it,dresses and lace,oh lace!!Im in love with lace,i just really like it,especially when it's layered oh double the love.haha=)

Oh my goodness,i haven't blogged in a very very long time.Well i have been really busy with school and guess what? i take online psychology classes,i thought it would be interesting,and it actually turned out to be quite interesting to learn,my cousin says I'm a nerd, i probably am cause i love love reading books..ok you know what i hate,i have been thinking this whole week what to write on my blog and then when i get to it my mind goes blank,like i don't know what to type,aahh..i know i sound like some crazy girl..oh and i also created a new playlist cause i forgot the password for my other one,worse than that i forgot what username i used,I'm losing it,k it's midnight, I'll TRY to write more..have a lovely day or night <3

finally, i was telling myself k write something for your blog,write something,but school's been busy,so my apologies for not updating,k where do i start,hmmm... oh I'm out of school.this weather has been really weird i don't know if we are still stuck in February, I'm so ready for summer, but on the other hand i love this cool weather.The last time i wrote was in October. Church is awesome we had 6 filled with the holy ghost this past Wednesday,God is so good and blue bomber,we have been trying to really break through this street and we now have 5 kids that come now, one young lady she walks to church on Sunday nights from that street.Words can't express what God has done in blue bomber and in my route, but to God be the glory for all he has done and will do in the future.

I'm so sorry i never wrote anything for Sr.Camp, i was rushing so i just posted all the pics i could get on,yep my week has been really busy with school and so much writing essay's.Well i totally had a blast at Sr.camp it was my first time actually all of us girls that went(my sis,Bea & Frances)we all drove up together hoping that we would get a good spot,but we got there like 2hrs late,but we actually ended up getting the best spot,we were lucky.Knowing us girls we had alot of suitcases,there was us 4 and there was 4 suitcases and 11 bags..yep alot we had to strap some on top of the car...last Wed was Esther's b/day she turned 5,time flies by soo fast..yea soo I'll hopefully keep trying to update my blog(yea hopefully)..anything that is interesting to blog;-)

Well this past Saturday was my sister's graduation and also Lorrels & Raquels. Seri and Lorrel graduated from 8th grade and Raquel from high school.The graduation was suppose to be outside but they ended up doing it in a classroom, cause it was soo hot i mean really hot, after the grad. we went to round table and then cooled off at Seabright Beach.Next Saturday is Becca's high school graduation..woo-hoo Becca and Raquel both oldies now..i love all of you guys and Congratulations!!!

i had a such an awesome time at youth convention,at CLC. It was actually my first time @ youth convention.I stayed with Sis.Tasha,Lane,Jessica, my sister and Iridian(i read all day)& Seth .We went for 3 whole days at convention,staying with the girls was so fun and especially meeting new people, we didn't go to sleep till 3 or 4 in the morning every night.Bro.Ken Gurley preached in the evening service,Friday was really packed and they had a hang out @ their lobby till 2 in the morning.It was so funny meeting people that i met at Jr.Camp 05,i met alot of the girls we hung out with at Jr.Camp.

17/blue bomber

yep 17 now(23rd).. it felt like i was celebrating my sweet 16 last month,i keep forgetting to delete Christmas music..sorry i know its march now..last week 2 of my favorite kids from our bus route went back to Mexico,(Emilio and Rosario) they called themselves the "chubby siblings" they were so cute,i didn't even get to say bye or for the whole route to write a ,we'll miss you card, they told me they were going to Mexico, but later on told me they were not,so i believed them.Emilio was the loud one,but Rosario was more calm,whenever we had to call"route 3 line up'' to get them back home,i always tell Emilio to scream for me since he has a really loud voice,I'm praying sometime I'll see them again in our bus.I really love blue bomber with my whole heart ,words can't explain what God is doing in our community,i remember when we use to have 1 bus with just about 10-15 kids, to about 100-110 now with 2 buses.God is awesome.Now we have families getting baptized,I'll probably fill my whole blog of what God has done in our community,but i have to stop cause I'm at the library,my time is almost up.I'll try to update now and then(if i have time)

REVIVALUTION CONFRENCE

Well this past friday was awesome we had revivalution confrence at my church,Bro.Scott Grahm(hope that's the rite spelling)preached. "STAY OUT OF THE WOODS" & "THE BLEMISHED LAMB" it so was awsome i was truly blessed, i love his preaching. This is my first post of 2009, kinda funny.I'll try to update now when i get time. I know Audge i still have christmas music on my playlist and it's almost febuary, still in the christmas mood.(i mean music) i can listen to christmas music all year, but some people(becca)hate it,oh well that's their problem.JK.I love you girls. hope to keep updating this blog.

Well i had a wonderful christmas..we spent christmas at Auburn at my uncle's house it snow's up here but it didn't snow on christmas(bumber)we made lovo(luau) cooked food underground..we had fish,crabs(mmm..my fave) pork,chicken and lots more..i got a coat from my mum and dad..woo-hoo i always wanted it..yep..it's goin 2 be snowing tomorrow i wish(that's what my dad said) well i'll try keeping my blog updated..cuz i have school next week..i tried adding pics but something is wrong with the computer..well..Happy New Year..

Oh my goodness i can't believe it's almost 2009.. time flies.. well i'm so forgetful, sometimes forget my password to go to my blog.Well (ok i always say WELL)ok.. we finally got a real christmas tree this year(woo-hoo).. well(see wat i mean) 2 weeks ago. I'm the only 1 in the family who waters it..and i also put in crushed asprin pills.. one of my mom's friends said that it keeps the tree green..and it does,.kinda cool(you know if the christmas tree gets a fever or a headache)i know that sounded dumb..For the past 6 years we always had a fake christmas tree,you know the 1 that already has lights..we've had it ever since i came to the U.S. So it was kind of heartbreaking to see it go to the trash my mom didn't like it, but i loved it.Yeah so that was my tree story..I hope everybody has a blessed christmas and a wonderrful new year.
